What is a Kevlar Pickleball Paddle

2023-10-27

Kevlar is a synthetic fiber that has become increasingly popular in recent years. The main applications of Kevlar are protective clothing and bulletproof products due to its high tensile strength and toughness. It's strong but also flexible. By weight, Kevlar can be up to 100 times stronger than steel, and it will stretch significantly without breaking under tension. Kevlar is also lightweight, which makes it more comfortable for users while providing protection.

What is carbon fiber?

Carbon fiber is a lightweight material made up of tiny strands or bundles of silk. It can be woven into cloth to make fabric, molded into carbon fiber reinforced plastic (or "carbon fiber"), and even used with Kevlar in protective clothing and bulletproof products. Carbon fiber is also used in aircraft structural components in the aerospace industry, among many other applications.

Aramid and carbon fiber are two forms of synthetic fiber. Both materials have high strength, and the main difference lies in their use.

Kevlar is mainly used in protective clothing and bulletproof products, while carbon fiber is more prolific in industries outside the textile industry, such as shipbuilding and aerospace manufacturing.

Kevlar has been used by NASA to make gloves and hats that keep astronauts safe when they go on spacewalks during missions outside Earth's atmosphere, while carbon fiber has been used to make ships lighter and stronger, among other uses.

Our pickleball paddle can be made of Kevlar, which has better elasticity than ordinary carbon fiber and allows the surface to add color while retaining carbon elements.
